Sludge Density Measurement

Sludge Density Measurement

Description

Density(concentration) measurement of active sludge is a key factor in correctly leading the sewage treatment process. The measurement is realized through an optical probe, similar in construction to a turbidity sensor. By applying a calibration curve, a density reading can be obtained.

The probe operates in conjunction with a digital transmitter from SUP-DC2000 series. This universal transmitter is suited for a panel-based build. The SUP-DC2000 series transmitters suport many kinds of digital probes and can operate as individual, separate points of measurements. However, thanks to numerous communication options (such as analogue 4-20mA signal, limit value switches or MODBUS RTU through RS485), they easily function as part of an advanced control system. Sensors placed in the measurement probes are responsible for temperature compensation.

Technical specification:
* Measurement range: 0-120000ppm TSS,
* Power supply voltage: 230VAC 50Hz,
* Transmitter load capacity: 3A at 250VAC,
* Analog output: 4-20mA, max. resistance of the current loop 750ohm,
* Communication: Modbus RTU through RS485
