Description
Turbidity measurement is one of the basic measurements used both in water and sewage treatment. In case of purified water, low turbidity probes(for values under 10 NTU) are used most frequently. For sewage and untreated water, probes with range beyond 1000NTU are utilized instead. The reading is realized with an optical probe, which measures the amount of scattered light, and calculates the turbidity value based on it.
The probe operates in conjunction with a digital transmitter from the SUP-DC2000 series. This universal transmitter is suited for a panel-based build. The SUP-DC2000 series transmitters suport many kinds of digital probes and can operate as individual, separate points of measurements. However, thanks to numerous communication options (such as analogue 4-20mA signal, limit value switches or MODBUS RTU through RS485), they easily function as part of an advanced control system. Sensors placed in the measurement probes are responsible for temperature compensation.
